Your data

Export and deletion whenever you want

You can ask for a copy of your data in a common format or for your account to be deleted at any time. Every workspace stays its own boundary: whoever is not a member does not see its tasks.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

In the EU, on servers in Germany. The website, the application and the database run on servers that Squibble GmbH rents from Hetzner Online GmbH and operates itself. The database is backed up every six hours, and an encrypted copy goes to another Squibble backup system every day.

All connections are encrypted with TLS. Access tokens and calendar feed addresses are stored only as digests. The details are in the privacy policy.

Which law applies, and who is responsible?

Squibble GmbH in Switzerland is responsible. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies; the EU’s GDPR applies where its conditions are met. Hosting is in the EU, in Germany. In short: Swiss provider, EU hosting.

How does sign-in work, and what does WorkOS see?

Sign-in is provided by WorkOS, Inc. (USA). You sign in with your email address or with Google, Apple or Microsoft; tasks itself stores no password. WorkOS processes your email address, your name and the details the chosen service passes on. WorkOS never sees your tasks. The transfer to the USA is safeguarded by standard contractual clauses.

Does tasks use cookies or trackers?

This website sets no cookies, and there are no ad trackers. We measure page views and a few clicks with Umami, which we run ourselves: without cookies, without storing IP addresses and without passing anything to third parties. After sign-in the app sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in; it is technically necessary.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we measure nothing.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can ask for a copy of your data in a common format at any time. Export directly in the settings is coming; until then an email to hello@squibble.ch is enough. More in the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time. Deletion directly in the settings is coming; until then an email to hello@squibble.ch is enough. Your account and content then disappear from the application.

Backups keep data until their retention period ends. More in the privacy policy.
